Continuing Discipleship
Discipleship is not a one time thing. You don't complete a class and then you're done with growing as a disciple of Christ. Discipleship is a lifelong process. Once you have completed the Disciple Makers material, hopefully you have a foundation and understanding of what are some essentials of belief are for Christians and you have been equipped with some tools that will help you in your prayer life and your Bible study. As you continue in discipleship, or your walk with God, there are things we aim to keep first and that we do that will help us continue as disciples. If we can love God and love others in the ways listed below, we will grow spiritually and we will be useful in expanding God's kingdom one life at a time.
Continuing Discipleship is practiced by loving God and loving people
Mark 12:29–31
[29] Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. [30] And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ [31] The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
